Hi y'all! So it has been longer than I promised and I still am not going to blog about what I said. Instead, I am going to do a segment on the process of our front porch transformation! I am obsessed with it....so I may brag a bit!
In the meantime, I have started my new job and LOVE it!! I made such a great move with my career and God granted me the right opportunities, at just the right time. Funny how life works, isn't it?
My second week on the job receiving my OFFICIAL business cards!! I was pretty excited as you can tell ;-)
Waking up to paint on your 24th birthday. Normal. Completely normal.
Now, this blog is getting a little ahead of myself because we have not made our daybed that we are putting out there and the wall decoration isn't completely done yet either... BUT I DO NOT CARE!! I have to write about it :)
Theme: nautical and everything beach
The walls: I was inspired by Pinterest, of course. I searched forever..and this was a combo of a few that I saw!
Chairs & Coffee Table: a FABULOUS Marshall's find
Frames: NERD ALERT.. we collect frames on trips we go on! I love a good gaudy frame and Jason entertains me. *true love* side note: we do not usually collect from US states, yes, we have one from Seattle, but I have a weird obsession with Seattle, so there's that. And Key West is Key West!
Globe: I wrote the quote on it, purchased from Target
Lighthouse: I did a DIY with clay pots
Key West sign: bought in Key West
Everthing else? Probably Target! ;-)
So this is the smaller side of the front porch. The other side will have my hope chest and the day bed we are making! I will post the results when we do that! It is coming together so well! Happy homeowner.
And yes...Jason totally questioned my interior decorating, but like the good boyfriend he is he didn't say anything until the end and told me how awesome it turned out! I think the room captures who we are.
And my lovely sister is making me some comfy cushions for the chairs!
Until next time!
